For over 25 years Dr. Michael Glogauer offers patient-focused periodontal care. For him, the one-to-one interaction with patients is the highlight of his clinical practice. He enjoys meeting new people and learning from their experiences while helping improve their quality of life.
Passionate about delivering care that changes lives, Dr. Glogauer understands that many of his patients are anxious about seeing a periodontist. He has a unique ability to help people overcome their worries, ensuring they are comfortable before and during treatment. Dr. Glogauer finds his greatest satisfaction in taking someone who has been unable to proceed with therapy due to their fear and turning them into a successfully, happily treated patient with a healthy smile.
Formal Education
To seek evidence-based information around what is really happening in dental education, Faculty of Dentistry researchers are taking part in a national study involving all 10 Canadian dental schools. The study, which began recruitment recently, will assess the blood and saliva on a monthly basis of a subset of 800 people in dental education to tracktheir immune response to COVID-19 — and as a result of vaccine doses — over a year.
Dr. Glogauer received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and PhD at the University of Toronto. He then went on to complete post-doctoral training at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA.
